About

Hey there! I’m Marci, and I’m so thrilled to have you here. I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and a Yoga Works RYT. I am also a graduate of the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) with a degree in Public Relations and Magazine Journalism.  For the past eight years I have been working with clients at a private studio gym in California, fulfilling my desire to help others improve their lives.

There was once a time when if asked what I did for work, my response was simply, “I’m a personal trainer.” But it wasn’t until recently that I realized the importance of my work goes beyond writing exercise prescriptions and counting reps. Sure that’s part of it, but it’s not where my passion lies. Today, I am proud to call myself a coach-of fitness, nutrition, lifestyle and mindset- because I truly believe that optimal health and happiness can’t be achieved unless all of those pieces are in line.

My ability and desire to spread this message is the result of my own struggles. I can remember thinking that I was fat from a young age. I hated my body, lacked self-confidence, and spent years exercising relentlessly and controlling my food obsessively in an effort to create a physique that I desired. Over time, my weight dropped to a dangerously low level, my health deteriorated, and my ability to live happily and love fully suffered. (You can read my full story here)

Fortunately, my tireless pursuit of knowledge and determination to recover my mental and physical health, ended me up where I am today-happy, strong, and confident. It took patience and a good dose of self-trust to let go of my old habits, but doing so allowed me to adopt new beliefs that enrich my life rather than detract from it.

I believe in training with purpose, intensity and the intention of getting stronger, both physically and mentally, each day. I believe in listening to your body and choosing to eat food that fuels your performance but also nourishes your soul. I believe in following your heart and pursuing your passions.

I made many mistakes when I set out to improve myself through fitness, and the hard lessons I learned is the inspiration behind me creating this space. I want you to arm you with the knowledge you need to create a lifestyle that is enjoyable and sustainable. But most importantly, I want to be your advocate on this journey and inspire you to cultivate a sense of strength that allows you to feel confident, empowered and live a life you love.
