How do I know? Because I’ve been there.
I struggled with body image issues for years. I wanted nothing more than to resemble the lean, muscular women that graced the covers of fitness magazines.
So I followed their training routines and tried emulating their diets, not realizing that it was the exact opposite of what I should have been doing.
Instead of training to get stronger, I performed hours of cardio, isolated muscle groups, and chased a feeling of exhaustion. Rather than fueling my body with nutrient dense foods and an appropriate amount of calories, I fed it nothing but protein and vegetables.
This impaired my ability to gain muscle and wrecked my hormones.
Sure I was lean, but I was also a slave to my obsessive lifestyle. I missed out on experiences, sacrificed relationships, and greatly compromised my health.
Fortunately, I found my way out. And now it’s my mission to empower other women to break free from the habits and mindset that is robbing them of their sanity and joy.
